Summit Ash

Fraxinus pennsylvanica 'Summit'

The Summit Ash makes a good selection in either an urban setting or to produce shade and some great fall color that is a bright yellow. As with most Ash trees, it is tolerant of wet soils, but will also tolerate droughts. This tree is adaptable to moist soil conditions, be it clay, loam, sand, acidic or basic. The bark is red-tinged, and the trunk is straight up through the crown with well-spaced strong branches making a well-formed shade tree.
